Lots of this one I didn't get but I thought 88A "water carrier" was MAIN making the headwear clue "panamas" not padamas…funny thing about the puzzle, my dad (Italian)was an amateur boxer and he always talked about Primo Carnera when we were kids…never thought he'd be a crossword answer…Have a good week.
Bill – – I fat fingered the previous entry…I'm really not anonymous…thanks again. Your friend.
It's always good to hear from you. I guess I didn't check this puzzle as closely as I normally do, and didn't spot the error. So, thank you!! I've made the change in the grid above.
Apparently the movie, Requiem for a Heavyweight starring Anthony Quinn, bore some resemblance to Carnara's life story. Not sure how true that is though.
Thanks again for watching my back, Mike!
Thanks for the movie tip. I'll try to check that out. Have a good holiday season!
You too, Mike 🙂
